Residents stay late to vote again

LUNENBURG -- [...] In other business Tuesday, residents passed an article authorizing officials to petition the Massachusetts General Court to allow the town to acquire its municipal infrastructure from utility provider Unitil through eminent domain.
The move is driven by Unitil's poor performance during and following the Dec. 11 ice storm.
The possibility of acquiring the infrastructure through eminent domain is one of multiple strategies Lunenburg's Utility Task Force is looking at to rid the town of Unitil.
The group is also advocating for passage of legislation that would make it more feasible for the town to purchase its infrastructure at fair market value and set up a municipal utility. [...]
